Editorial & verification policy

Listings

Every professional car storage facility in the UK qualifies for a free listing, compiled from public information and operator submissions. Facilities can claim their listing to manage it; claims are verified by a human (email domain match, a call to the listed number, or documents) before access is granted.

Ranking and sponsorship

Results are ordered by subscription tier first (Premium, Enhanced, then Free), then by relevance: distance in search results, or availability and profile completeness on county pages. Paid placement is labelled “Featured”. Payment never removes a facility from results and never affects the Verified badge.

The Verified badge

Verified is granted by our team after an evidence checklist: insurance documentation appropriate to stored vehicles, working CCTV coverage, and evidence of climate control where claimed. Enhanced and Premium subscribers are eligible to apply; the badge itself cannot be purchased and is withdrawn if evidence lapses.

Ratings

Where we show Google ratings they are entered by our team from public Google listings, displayed with “via Google” attribution, and never marked up as structured review data. First-party reviews collected on Motorkeep will replace them in a future release.

Guides

Guides are researched and written by the Motorkeep editorial team, carry a byline and a last-updated date, and cite typical market figures rather than advertising any single facility. Facilities never pay for coverage in guides. If a rule (DVLA, insurance, tax) matters to a decision, verify it on the official source — rules change.

Corrections

Spot something wrong — a stale price, a closed facility, an inaccurate claim? Tell usand we'll fix it, usually within two working days.
