How reviews work
Who can leave a review
Anyone who has stored a vehicle with a facility, in one of two ways:
- Enquired through Motorkeep.A few weeks after you send an enquiry, we email you once to ask how it went. Reviews written from that email are labelled “Enquired through Motorkeep”.
- Everyone else, usually customers a facility has sent to us. You confirm your email address before the review is published, and it's labelled “Email verified”.
One review per person per facility. Your email address is never shown; your name appears as a first name and initial.
What we don't allow
- Reviews by the business, its staff, or anyone connected to it. We turn away reviews from the business's own email domain and from anyone who manages its listing.
- Reviews in return for a discount, payment or any other reward.
- Facilities asking only happy customers for reviews. If a facility shares its review link, it should go to all its customers.
What gets published
Every verified review is published straight away, good or bad. We don't pre-screen reviews, we don't remove reviews for being negative, and facilities can't pay to remove or hide them. Paid listings change where a facility appears in our results, never its reviews or its rating.
A facility's average shows on its badge and in search results once it has at least three reviews.
Replies and flags
Facilities can reply to any review in public. They can also flag a review they believe breaks these rules; a flagged review stays up while we look at it.
The only reasons we remove a review
- Not a genuine customer
- Written by or for the business
- Abusive, discriminatory or threatening
- Contains personal information
- Spam, advertising or unrelated
- Duplicate
- Reviewer asked us to remove it
To report a review or ask us to remove your own, email hello@motorkeep.co.uk.
Google ratings shown elsewhere on Motorkeepare labelled “via Google” and come from Google, not from us. See also our terms.
